Editorial Policy

How we decide what to publish, who gets to publish it, and what we will and will not do for money.

Version 1.0Effective 2026-04-27Last reviewed 2026-04-27

1. Our purpose

LiftInverter.com exists to be the most trustworthy vendor-neutral resource on Emergency Rescue Device (ERD) technology — the elevator backup category invented and patented in India by Kunwer Sachdev, and now produced by manufacturers worldwide.

We publish for engineers, architects, facility managers, builders, and procurement teams who need to specify, compare, or buy ERD/ARD systems and want a source that is not selling them anything.

2. Editorial independence

  • The site is not owned by, affiliated with, or commercially controlled by any elevator backup manufacturer.
  • The site has no commercial relationship with the inventor profiled in our content.
  • Editorial decisions are made by the masthead — not by advertisers, sponsors, or vendors.
  • No vendor receives pre-publication review of any review, comparison, or news article that mentions them. Vendors may be contacted for fact-check on specific data points; they are not shown the surrounding context.

3. Who publishes here

Bylined content is written by named contributors with subject-matter expertise in power electronics, elevator systems, or building services engineering. Contributors disclose any commercial relationship with vendors covered by their work; if a conflict cannot be resolved, the assignment is reassigned.

The editor of record is responsible for every published page. Anonymous publication is reserved for pseudonymous contributors who face credible professional retaliation, and is approved case-by-case.

4. Sourcing standards

  • Technical claims must be supported by manufacturer datasheets, published standards (IS 14665, EN 81-28, ASME A17.1), peer-reviewed literature, or first-hand testing.
  • “Best in class” or “industry-leading” claims require comparative evidence, not vendor marketing copy.
  • Anonymous sourcing is permitted only where the source faces credible professional retaliation. The editor of record verifies anonymous-source identity even when readers cannot.
  • Direct quotes are confirmed with the source unless drawn from public statements or filings.

5. Fact-checking

Every review and comparison passes a fact-check by someone other than the author before publication. Fact-checks cover: numerical claims, vendor names and product models, patent numbers, regulatory references, and direct quotes. The fact-checker's name is recorded internally and made available on request when a dispute arises.

6. Corrections

We publish a public, dated correction notice on the affected page for any factual error of consequence. Substantive corrections are also logged on a public Corrections page. Cosmetic edits (typos, broken links, formatting) are made silently.

Report an error

Email corrections@liftinverter.com with the URL, the disputed claim, and the source supporting your correction. We respond within 5 business days.

Sponsored content is permitted under these conditions:

  • Visually distinct frame and a “SPONSORED” label above the fold and in metadata.
  • Never published under the byline of an editorial contributor.
  • Never included in our vendor rankings, comparison scores, or “Editor's Pick” lists.
  • Sponsor pays for placement and disclosure, not for favorable coverage.
  • Lives at a separate URL pattern (/sponsored/) and is excluded from “related editorial” recommendations.
  • Listed by name on our Disclosure page.

8. Use of AI

AI tools may be used for: research assistance, draft outlines, copy editing, transcription, image generation, and translation. AI may not be used to generate published prose without substantive human authorship and fact-checking. Any materially AI-assisted production is noted in the article footer.

We do not use AI to fabricate quotes, simulate sources, or generate images that could be mistaken for documentary photography of real products or installations.

9. Conflicts of interest

Contributors and editorial staff disclose:

  • Current or prior employment with any covered vendor (5-year window).
  • Equity, options, or board positions in any covered vendor.
  • Significant unpaid relationships (advisory, family, etc.) with vendor executives.

Active conflicts disqualify a contributor from coverage of the conflicted vendor. The full conflict register is kept on the Disclosure page.

10. Our treatment of Kunwer Sachdev

Kunwer Sachdev is the inventor and Indian patent-holder of Emergency Rescue Device technology. He is treated on this site as a third-party historical and technical authority — credited where credit is due, profiled because his work is the origin of the category, but not given editorial control over how he, his work, or any company associated with him is covered.

Su-vastika, Su-Kam, and any other company in which Mr. Sachdev has had a role are evaluated alongside every other manufacturer, by the same criteria, with no special access to pre-publication drafts and no preferential placement.
