Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and your rights — written plainly for readers in India.

Last updated July 2026

LiftInverter.com is an independent editorial resource on lifts and Emergency Rescue Device (ERD) backup technology. We collect very little personal data, and we explain all of it here.

This Privacy Policy describes what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under Indian law — including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. Who we are (Data Fiduciary)

The data fiduciary responsible for this website is Kunwer Sachdev, owner and funder of LiftInverter.com. See our Disclosure & Ownership page for full details.
Contact: support@liftinverter.com

2. What data we collect

We collect personal data in only two situations:

In addition, we collect aggregated, non-identifying analytics via Google Analytics (see section 3), and our hosting provider may record standard technical server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. We do not operate user accounts, logins, or newsletter sign-ups.

3. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (property G-N0BV51MLYZ), provided by Google LLC, to understand which pages readers find useful so we can improve the site. It collects aggregated, non-identifying data — such as pages visited, approximate location, and device and browser type — and sets cookies (for example _ga) for this purpose.

We have not enabled Google advertising, remarketing, or ad-personalisation features. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data.

4. Cookies

The only cookies this site sets are Google Analytics cookies. We do not use advertising or social-media tracking cookies. For the full list and how to control them, see our Cookie Policy.

5. Third parties we rely on

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. Some of these providers may process data on servers outside India; where required under the DPDP Act, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards.

6. How long we keep data

Contact-form and email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up — typically up to 3 years — and then deleted or anonymised. Google Analytics retains aggregated data according to Google's own retention settings.

7. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act and applicable rules, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of the personal data we hold about you, to withdraw consent, and to raise a grievance. To exercise any right, email support@liftinverter.com, and we will respond within the timelines required by law.

8. Grievance Officer

In accordance with applicable Indian law, grievances may be addressed to the site owner at support@liftinverter.com. We aim to acknowledge and respond within 30 days.

9. Not directed at children

LiftInverter.com is a technical reference intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
